CW Stoneking To Bring US Backing Band To Aus

Having been killing it in the US all summer, Katherine-bred voodoo blues connoisseur CW Stoneking has announced that he will be bringing his amazing US band home for a show in Melbourne later this month.

The tasty trio accompanying Stoneking include Paula 'Moist' Henderson on baritone saxophone, Kendra Kilkuskie on drums and Jessica Lee Wilke laying down the bass. Stoneking and the band have just played the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville whilst opening for blues giant Nathaniel Rateliff and they'll go on to play Austin and Houston later this week before returning to Australia.

The hokum king recently exchanged compliments with Texan bluesman Leon Bridges — also a frequent user of a time machine — so we're hoping a collaboration is in the works.

Stoneking will play at Croxton Bandroom on 27 October.
