The annual celebration of all things hard-n-fast has added another throwback act for good measure

Turn-of-the-millennium punk outfit Cheapshot burned quickly and brightly in the early 2000s before disappearing into the ether, but nostalgic fans and newcomers alike will have a chance to get reacquainted at this year's Scumfest, with organisers revealing the band as a surprise reunion act today.

Following 12 years apart, the members of Cheapshot will reconvene at this November's shindig alongside several other temporarily revived throwback acts for the event's special 'reunion edition', including Conation99 Reasons WhyBlood Sucking FreaksThe Jerks and Three Chain Break. Cheapshot's original stint lasted between 2000 and 2004, racking up a score of gigs anywhere that would take them and garnering quite the modest little following to boot.

Fret not, young'uns — it's not all greying acts your older brother used to dig in high school, for there are plenty of comparatively new curiosities to keep your ears sated all afternoon and night, including Totally UnicornGod God Dammit DammitHannahbandMere WomenWest Thebarton Brothel Party and many more.

This year's Scumfest goes down at Adelaide's Old Queens Theatre on Saturday 26 November.
