Frank OceanThe results of End Of Year polls and rankings appear to have left their mark on the ARIA Album Chart, with some of the year's most acclaimed records climbing the chart once again.
While the top two spots were held by the familiar titles of Pink (The Truth About Love) and Ed Sheeran (+), Sydney producer Flume's self-titled record rose from 29 to 21 in its eighth week in the chart, where it debuted at two.
Two of 2012's most-loved records, both locally and around the world, also received bumps this week, with Frank Ocean's Channel ORANGE bulleting from 46 to 25 and Tame Impala's Lonerism up to 30 from 39. Lonerism also re-entered the UK charts at 99 after being represented in every 'Best Of' list worth its salt for the December period.
The Mercury-prize winning Alt-J's An Awesome Wave was also a critic's favourite locally, and that re-entered the top 50 at 49.
The Rolling Stones' Crossfire Hurricane documentary was the strongest debut on the Music DVD chart, arriving at four this week.
Tame Impala's Lonerism was voted Album Of The Year by editors and critics of Street Press Australia – including theMusic.com.au's picks. You can have you say in the annual Readers' Poll here.
