CresFest is gearing up for a major 2023 festival with a lineup that boasts some of the best local, national and international artists from the contemporary folk scene.
CresFest's second artist announcement is here, and it's clear that women are leading the charge.
Joining the already confirmed artists for the 2023 festival will be some of the finest female talents in the folk/roots space, including one of America's most beloved folk talents, The Haas Sisters, award-winning songwriter and cellist Monique Clare, Melbourne-based Irish-born Maggie Carty and her band, and local legend Lucy Wise.
Fred Smith, Melbourne Scottish Fiddlers, Greg Champion, Archer and Headphones Jones will also join the exciting lineup for next year.
Previously confirmed artists include proud Mutti Mutti singer Kutcha Edwards, UK folk duo While & Matthews, Australian folk music and Music Victoria award winners, The Weeping Willows, Ami Williamson, Bush Gothic, and Austral.
In addition to the live music, CresFest will also host a wide range of activities, including music and dance workshops, a busking competition, markets, jam sessions, ‘Courthouse Conversations’, and more.
