More Creed More Creed

In news that isn’t all that surprising following the rumours, US post-grunge outfit Creed have officially announced their reunion.

However, their reformation comes with a catch: at the time of writing, Creed have only planned one show, and it’s the Summer Of ’99 cruise in April 2024.

The cruise stars the rockers themselves, as well as 3 Days Down, Buckcherry, Tonic, Vertical Horizon, Fuel, The Verve Pipe, Tantric, Dishwalla, Louise Post (of Veruca Salt), and Nine Days, Spin reports.

The cruise will depart from Miami, Florida and journey to Nassau in the Bahamas, with punters and bands to board the Norwegian Pearl. Even better for longtime fans, Creed teased that they’ve “got a lot more in store”. Check out the band’s social media post from nine hours ago below:

Rumours around a Creed reunion began swirling after the band changed their social media profile images. They also wiped their website page to make it completely blank and only accessible by entering a password.

Last year, Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti linked up with Ghost Cult for an interview and hinted that a reunion wasn’t out of the question. When asked about reuniting with his bandmates, Tremonti answered, “You never know. It's just one of those things where whenever it comes up, either our camp or [vocalist] Scott [Stapp] has something going on at the moment. So our stars have to align.

“In fact, right now, if a promoter said, 'Hey, we wanna do a huge Creed tour,' I'd have to bypass all the stuff we're working on at the moment. So we just have to wait till the time is right.”
