Guess who didn't like the Beatvana show? (Or do we call them The Nirtles?)
Comments Courtney Love made on Facebook about the performance by ex-members of Nirvana with Paul McCartney at last week's 12.12.12 concert are being widely reported this weekend.
Keeping her review of the gig quite succint, Love wrote, "there it was, uh it was bad."
Love, the widow of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, added one more comment, taking aim at bassist Krist Novoselic. Love landed the slapdown: "paul better get earmuffs for th bassplaying."
Prior to the benefit gig, Love had told TMZ that she was "not amused" about McCartney's involvement.

Love was reported as intimating to the gossip site that she didn't think McCartney was a good fit for the reunion of Nirvana members Novoselic and Dave Grohl. TMZ quoted her as saying, "Look, if John [Lennon] were alive it would be cool."
The UK's Guardian news site expressed surprise that Love did not directly criticise McCartney. But they point out that Love had previously talked of Cobain as being a Lennon fan versus her preference for McCartney.
They went on to report that Love had stated she was pleased the McCartney/Nirvana (McVana?) set was not to be made up of Nirvana "classics": "If they don't do songs they didnt write (nirvana songs they dont own) i dont care."
The supergroup set (which also included Pat Smear) previewed the new track Cut Me Some Slack that had been recorded for the soundtrack of Dave Grohl's Sound City documentary.
