Courtney Barnett joins massive lineup

More Courtney Barnett Courtney Barnett

It’s been a big year to say the least for Courtney Barnett.

Just last month she released her debut studio album, Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit to rave reviews and she is weeks away from embarking on an Australian tour.

And the news keeps getting better for the Sydney born songwriter with the announcement this morning that Barnett has joined the already stellar lineup for this year’s Glastonbury Festival.

It will mark the second time in as many years that the brooding singer will take to the stage at the annual event in England as she gains even more exposure abroad.

In a recent interview with eFestivals, Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis hinted that Barnett would be returning for the festival and praised the female artist’s work.

”...Someone sent us the link to her, and we listened to it, and I just really loved that record, we played it all the time, and I really love her new stuff as well…I think she will be back this year…”.

Barnett will perform alongside a slew of international talent including headliner acts, the Foo Fighters and Kanye West.
