Courtney Barnett Reveals 2026 Australian Tour Dates

Courtney Barnett will bring her 'Creature of Habit' show to premier venues across the East Coast in November.

Courtney Barnett is coming home for a short run of East Coast tour dates this November.

Touring in support of her new album, Creature of Habit, the Australian Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter will present her live show at premier venues for her highly anticipated return to homegrown fans.

The tour begins at Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Wednesday, 4 November. It continues at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on Friday, 6 November, and concludes at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Saturday, 7 November.

While Barnett performed at the 2024 editions of Perth and Sydney Festivals, plus one-off dates in Hobart and Melbourne last year, the Creature of Habit shows mark her first tour of Australia in more than four years.

For her upcoming tour, Barnett is set to highlight Creature of Habit alongside tracks from her extensive catalogue.

In addition to her music, Barnett is recognised for her unique live performances, which consist of intimate storytelling and a flurry of grunge-inspired indie rock energy.

Her latest album, Creature of Habit, was released last month. The bold record ponders the central question: how does one get out of their own way to truly live their life?

Written following Barnett’s relocation from Melbourne to Los Angeles and the closure of her record label, Milk! Records, she channelled feelings of change and insecurity around her career and poured them into the deeply affecting album.

Creature of Habit is the long-awaited follow-up to Barnett’s third album, Things Take Time, Take Time, released in 2021, and the instrumental album, End of the Day, released in 2023. The latter featured tracks written to score her 2021 documentary, Anonymous Club.
