Courtney Barnett Films Secret Music Video On London Streets

And they thought she was just busking.

More Courtney Barnett Courtney Barnett Profile

London locals were treated to a surprise busking performance from Australia's own Courtney Barnett on Monday night, probably without realising that she was secretly filming a new music video for her track, Nobody Really Cares If You Don't Go To The Party.

As Mashable reports, the Sydney-born artist set up shop between the Camden Tube Station and the Electric Ballroom beneath a giant white scaffold with the song title printed above it, as she performed with her band while a small but dedicated film crew worked their magic around her.

That's not to say that Barnett didn't tease her London fans with the secret show, as she hinted on her Twitter account that she would be performing somewhere in the city at a specified time.

We may have to wait a while before the finished product heads our way, but some very fortunate locals were on hand and managed to film some footage of the performance to Instagram.
