Courtney Barnett Debuts In UK Top 20

Another impressive chart position after her Aussie top five this weekend

More Courtney Barnett Courtney Barnett Profile

The debut album from acclaimed Melbourne singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett has debuted in the UK top 20 over the weekend.

Barnett's Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit, landed at an impressive 16 in the official UK Albums 100, following on from the LP entering the local charts at four.

She wasn't the only Aussie to debut the UK Albums Chart this week though, with the iconic Kylie Minogue making a new appearance at 26 with her new live record, Kiss Me Once — LIve At The SSE Hydro.

Over the past couple of years, Barnett has received plenty of love and praise from the overseas markets, playing a number of the world's biggest festivals including the UK's mammoth Glastonbury and making appearances on the likes of Ellen and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The singer will be touring around the country this April and May.

Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit is out now through Milk Records/Remote Control.
