The rough and ragged country troubadour plays dates along the east coast.
One of the many great acts hitting the long sold out Poison City Weekender festival in Melbourne is Mississippi bred, now Nashville based singer-songwriter Cory Branan and today he has announced a full national tour to go along with the aforementioned punk rock event.
Branan has never been to Australia but given the descriptions of his sound – “hushed, dry whiskey voice”, “sharp edged story song lyrics” – and a sound that references the likes of Lucero, Chuck Ragan, Jon Snodgrass and Dave Hause, we reckon Aussies are going to be all over him by the time this tour is through.
While he's in the country Branan will scoot along the eastern seaboard, playing intimate dates with a selection of local supports including Lincoln Le Fevre, Jen Buxton and a stack more still to be announced.
