After the news broke yesterday that Prince had sadly passed away, artists and fans have dealt with their commiseration in numerous ways and for Slipknot's Corey Taylor, it was to cover 'Purple Rain'.
At one of his solo shows in Prince's hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Taylor performed a solemn acoustic version of the classic song and, as you'll see, the crowd loved every second of the tribute. You can check a fan shot video of the touching cover below.
Prince, real name Prince Rogers Nelson, passed away suddenly at his home recording studio on Thursday morning at the age of 57.
