US blues and reggae artist Corey Harris will be returning to Australia for the first time in 16 years to play a string of solo shows along the east coast this August.
Winner of the Mcarthur Fellowship award in 2007 and also prominently featured in the Martin Scorsese film The Blues: A Musical Journey, Harris' talent extends far beyond the title he's earned touring and recording music with renowned blues artists including BB King, Taj Mahal, Buddy Guy, R.L. Burnside and Tracy Chapman, among many more.
Harris will kick off his tour Down Under in Melbourne, followed by shows in Bellarine, Newcastle, Cronulla, Canberra and Sydney, before performing at this year's Gympie Muster festival.
