Aunty Donna is too legit to quit
Following a busy run at every comedy festival under the sun — that is, Adelaide Fringe followed by Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth Comedy Festivals — Melburnian comedy troupe Aunty Donna have announced they're far from finished, with a massive national tour announced for next month.
The trio will be bringing New Show to eight venues around the country starting 3 June, "a fast-paced" affair with "loud, cheesy music, brilliant choreographed dancing, miming with perfectly exaggerated facial expressions, outlandish characters like Stepdad Steve" and more, picking up four stars from us when we caught them at Melbourne International Comedy Festival this year.
They'll head to Wagga Wagga first on 3 June, before Canberra Street Theatre on 4 June, Newcastle's Civic Theatre on 23 June, Adelaide's The Gov on 29 June, Darwin Entertainment Centre on 30 June, Brisbane's The Tivoli on 1 July, Melbourne's Athenaeum Theatre on 2 July and finally Sydney's Enmore Theatre on 7 July.
