Sydney all age hip hop event due to take place next weekend

Sydney all ages hip hop festival Come Together has been cancelled a week and a half before the event due to poor ticket sales.

Due to take place Saturday 7 June at Sydney's Luna Park, Kerser, Funkoars, Jackie Onassis, Remi and Citizen Kay were amongst the acts billed to perform.

A statement from the promoter this afternoon reads, “We regret to announce that due to ticket sales not reaching their targets we have decided to cancel this year's Come Together.”

“The event remains as one of Sydney's only all ages concert experiences and for the last 10 years has provided many developing acts the opportunity to play the big stage and help build their fan base.”

They said that the festival would return “bigger and better” in 2015.

After originally starting its life as a punk rock/emo event, and flirting with a two-day format, Come Together marked its 10th anniversary last year. As well live music in the Big Top, free rides were offered as part of the ticket price.
