A night of music, raffles and revelry for a cause
If you've been aching for the perfect opportunity to dig out that old hat that you absolutely know is fabulous but everyone else seems to think is freakish, then look no further than Collarts' newly announced 'Med Het' (mad hat) Party to raise money for mental-wellness charity beyondblue, coming to the Brunswick Hotel in a week's time.
Both an opportunity to throw fashion standards to the breeze and reconnect with your sense of innate human goodness at the same time, the Med Het Party — which boasts a Mad Hatter/Alice In Wonderland theme, if you'd missed that — will take over the Sydney Road venue from 8pm on 17 November, bringing together bands and DJs ("in full Mad Hatter Tea Party get-up") to provide live entertainment all the way down the rabbit hole, including Allison Wonderland ("Not the DJ" — note the double L), Sam "The Tim Tam Jam" Thomas, "The Cat In The" Pat Davies, Lilli Van Donk and Daniel Currie, as well as staging a raffle, to be drawn on the night, and ensuring that a percentage of bar sales are passed on to beyondblue.
Entry is via optional gold-coin donation at the door, and festivities will continue through till midnight.
If you're curious about how you can be a part of the Med Het Party — and growing curiouser and curiouser — hit up Collarts' event page.
