As if fans couldn’t be more excited about Cold Chisel hitting the road for their The Big Five-O national tour come October, the Aussie rockers have dropped a surprise new single and pushed their latest greatest hits album forward a week.

The new single, You’ve Got To Move, was recorded while the band made their #1 2019 album, Blood Moon. Even when it was recorded, the band knew they wanted to keep it as a special little gift.

“We recorded the song back in 2019 and decided to keep it aside for something special,” lead guitarist and backing vocalist Ian Moss commented in a statement. “Celebrating 50 years is pretty damn special, so now is the perfect time to release it. Kevin Shirley mixed the song in January this year, and we knew we had it nailed.”

You can listen to the song below.

You’ve Got To Move is from the band’s forthcoming greatest hits album, 50 Years—The Best Of. The collection’s release has been moved forward a week to keep up with the anticipation surrounding the band. It will now be released on Friday, 16 August.

Covering all the band’s albums, the release is a 25-song double-vinyl and double-CD set—also hitting streaming services—and includes all of Cold Chisel's classic songs.

Due to phenomenal demand, Cold Chisel added another six dates to their massive The Big Five-O Tour last month. With the additional dates, Cold Chisel will now celebrate their 50th anniversary with a whopping 23 shows across the country.
