Big news coming out of the CHVRCHES camp today, as the band have announced a number of extremely important details surrounding their debut album.

So first off the bat, the band WILL be releasing a debut full length album, which probably isn't that exciting on it's own. To spice things up a little, it has also been announced that the LP will be titled, The Bones Of What You Believe. And the bad boy is to be released in Australia on 20th September via Liberator Music / Goodbye Records.

To add even more excitement to your life, the album will feature the current single 'Gun'. We featured the track a couple of weeks back, but its accompanying video has just been released online - so we thought we'd add it in for good measure. It's a truly hypnotic experience, as a studio performance of the track is transformed into a world of psychedelia.

In the lead up to the album, 'Gun EP' will be released on 15th July, available as a digital bundle, including a full suite of remixes across the formats by Groundislava, DJ Helix, Auntie Flo, Jamie Isaac and KDA. The new EP comes hot on the heels of the 'Recover EP', which picked the band up on a global scale. Everyone from The Guardian to Pitchfork to Triple J grabbed onto the bright synths and unique bubbly vocals of lead, Lauren Mayberry - all hailing them 'the sound of 2013'.

In the coming months they will play to more festival full houses and embark on a string of European arena dates with Depeche Mode, as well as embarking on their debut (and already sold-out) Australian tour. This is on the back of  sold-out tours of the UK and US, an award-winning appearance at SXSW; and filled tents to the point of bursting at their debut festival performances at Field Day (UK) and Sasquatch (US).

So if you're lucky enough to have tickets to any of these upcoming shows, be sure to capture some of the album's tracks on your iPhone and send it through to us.
