"It is a wonderful conclusion to an amazing trilogy by my great friend."
The comeback of revered Aussie singer-songwriter Russell Morris is well and truly secured, with the ARIA Hall Of Famer signing with Chugg Music ahead of the release of his new album.
The new album, Red Dirt – Red Heart, will be his third in as many years, dropping on October 23, and rounds out the Blues & Roots Album Trilogy, following on from Sharkmouth and Van Diemen's Land, both of which debuted in the top 10 on the ARIA Charts.
“The Chugg organisation is very proud to be releasing Russell's new album, it is a wonderful conclusion to an amazing trilogy by my great friend,” Michael Chugg said on the signing.
Morris’ past two records honed in on a classic Aussie blues & roots sound, and focused on national icons and events, and Red Dirt – Red Heart continues the trend, telling the story of two bushrangers.
