“It's Such A Trap”: Meg Mac Refuses To Be Another Tragic Tale On 'It's My Party'

It's Not Even December Yet & Christmas Songs Are Taking Over The ARIA Charts

The most wonderful time of year.

It's not even December and Christmas music has already begun its ARIA chart takeover.

While Coldplay have taken out the #1 spot on the Albums chart with their eighth studio album, Everyday Life, Robbie Williams was hot on their heels with his latest, The Christmas Present, landing at #2.

Coldplay’s placing does mark the band's sixth #1 album in Australia but the debut of Rod Stewart’s You’re In My Heart LP with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at #3 means the festive season is well and truly upon us.

Bing Crosby's newest, Bing At Christmas, also arrives at #44 and the king of Christmas himself, Michael Bublé, jumps a massive 40 places from #59 to #19 with his classic Yuletide album Christmas.

Other albums making a splash this week include Human Nature’s latest best-of compilation, Still Telling Everybodyat #10 on the back of their induction into the ARIA Hall Of Fame on Wednesday, Leonard Cohen’s Thanks For The Dance at #11, Jason Aldean’s at #16 and Beck's Hyperspace at #33.

The Teskey Brothers also enjoyed a jump in the Albums chart following their multiple wins at the ARIA Awards, taking home Best Group and Best Bluest & Roots Album, with Run Home Slow leaping 40 spots from #54 to #14.

Over on the Singles chart, Scottish favourite Lewis Capaldi cracked the top 30 with Before You Go arriving at #24 and Tones & I holds onto #1 for yet another week after winning big at the 2019 ARIA Awards
