Chris Lilley’s Ja’mie King Returns For New Series

Ja'mie: Private School Girl to air on ABC and HBO later this year

More Chris Lilley Chris Lilley Profile

The ABC have confirmed that Chris Lilley will return to screens with a Summer Heights High spin-off Ja'mie: Private School Girl, which will air later this year.

The writer and performer has gained an international fan-base thanks to the main characters – which he plays himself – in shows including We Can Be Heroes and Summer Heights High. The latest show has been co-produced by Lilley, Princess Pictures and both the ABC and American cable network HBO, who will also screen the show later this year.

“I find teenage girls endlessly funny,” Lilley said. “So being able to write for and play the meanest bitch in school has been so fun. I can't wait to show everyone what Ja'mie's been up to.”
