Chris Cheney, Phil Jamieson, Tim Rogers & More Unite For Easybeats Tribute Tour

Best Aussie supergroup?

Australia's rock'n'roll royalty will team up this year for a very special tour to celebrate the music of The Easybeats and Stevie Wright.

Chris Cheney, Phil Jamieson, Kram, Tex Perkins and Tim Rogers will embark on the Easyfever tour in December and perform tracks from the iconic '60s outfit in Thirroul, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

update: Aussie Rock Supergroup Call For Return Of Live Music To TV

"The Australian rock'n'roll landscape would look very different without the contribution of The Easybeats," Cheney said.

"The energy and electricity of those old black and white TV performances have always been a source of Inspiration to me. I get goosebumps thinking about it. They are one of the most influential Aussie bands ever and rightly bloody so.

"The combined musical brilliance of that band and the songwriting skills means their tunes are absolutely timeless."

"I'm equal parts nervous, excited & daunted by taking on these huge songs live," Jamieson added.

"It is going to be one hell of a show."
