You're going to have to wait a while for new episodes, though...
It’s been well over a year since Atlanta's season two finale aired, but fans' patience has paid off, with the announcement that the Donald Glover-led show has been renewed for a fourth season.
A third season for the innovative comedy from FX was confirmed last year, and with season four now also locked down, production on new episodes is set to begin in early 2020, with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that both seasons will be filmed back-to-back, “taking advantage of the opening in Glover's busy schedule”.
To say the US actor and musician is busy is an understatement, with Glover recently wrapping a huge Aussie tour and starring in The Lion King, which premiered last month.
“What more can be said about Atlanta than the critical acclaim and accolades that Donald [Glover], Paul [Simms], Dianne [McGunigle], Stephen [Glover] and Hiro [Murai] have earned for two exceptional seasons of what is clearly one of the best shows on television,” FX Entertainment president Eric Schrier said.
“This group of collaborators and cast have created one of the most original, innovative stories of this generation and we are proud to be their partners.”
The show’s first two seasons – which are currently available via Foxtel - were nominated for a stack of awards, with Glover and co picking up Golden Globe Awards and Emmy Awards, among others.
