Childish Gambino Drops New Album Deets, Awesome New Single

Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover to those familiar with his acting career) has announced his third full-length album titled Awaken, My Love!, to be released this December. The album announcement comes with the release of a new track, Me & Your Mama, an eclectic track that's definitely not what we've known from Glover so far.

The song highlights that he's continuing to move away from rapping over hip hop beats as heard on previous albums Camp (2011) and Grammy-nominated Because The Internet (2013) and is now beginning to utilise his soulful vocals.

We heard Glover’s singing voice last year when he played crooner Andre in film Magic Mike XXL. The former Community star doesn’t seem to be slowing down his film and TV career anytime soon either, as he continues to write, direct, produce and star in TV show Atlanta and has been cast as Lando Calrissian in the 2018 Star Wars film.

So far the album’s tracklist and cover art (which Gambino posted to his Twitter) has been released. Awaken, My Love! is due out 2 December.
