More Childish Gambino More Childish Gambino

After Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover) premiered the trailer for his forthcoming sixth album, Bando Stone & The New World, at this year’s BET Awards (30 June), the rapper, singer and actor has announced a release date and dropped a new single, Lithonia.

Bando Stone & The New World will drop in under three weeks via Wolf+Rothstein and Liberator Music on Friday, 19 July, and acts as the final album under the Childish Gambino moniker.

Led by a church organ, Lithonia becomes an explosive guitar-based banger that spotlights 2000s indie with his inimitable style. A Childish Gambino rock song? You better believe it – check it out below.

The new single and album announcement arrive after Childish Gambino recently announced his tour of Australia and New Zealand, marking his first stops down under since 2019.

The Redbone singer will be accompanied by Amaarae on all dates, with demand leading to additional dates being announced in Sydney and Melbourne. You can find all the tour dates below.

Childish Gambino’s THE NEW WORLD TOUR is also in support of ATAVISTA, released via Liberator Music (part of the Mushroom Group).

The album is a newly reworked edition of Glover’s fourth album as Childish Gambino, 3.15.20 (or its “finished version”, as the artist puts it), which was surprise released back in May with two new tracks, the title track and Human Sacrifice.
