Legendary singer battling addiction to same meds Prince used.
Legendary US artist Chaka Khan has revealed she is entering rehab for addictions to the same prescription medication that led to the death of her longtime friend and music icon, Prince.
As Billboard reports, the 63-year-old singer has entered an intensive rehabilitation program with her sister Yvonne Stevens just weeks after it was revealed Prince died from an overdose of a synthetic opioid called fentanyl.
"The tragic death of Prince has had us both rethinking and reevaluating our lives and priorities," Khan said in a statement.
"We knew it was time to take action to save our lives. My sister and I would like to thank everyone for their support, love and prayers."

Khan will be forced to miss a number of concert appearances over the coming months.
Prince was found dead at his home in Minnesota on 21 April.
Earlier this month it was revealed authorities are targeting two doctors in regards to how the late singer obtained the medication, after a criminal investigation was launched into his death.
