The hot topic this week (and forever) has been marriage equality and the seemingly never-budging stance of our fair Prime Minister, Tony Abbott.
After it was reported that the Australian leader met with his own party this week to discuss same-sex marriage and get each member's views on the topic and then allegedly told those closest to him "not to cross him" the debate was sparked all over again.
Pop-sister-duo The Veronicas wrote an open letter to Abbott earlier this week telling him that he has "missed the opportunity" to be a forward-thinking world leader, while a number of personalities around the country voiced their own opinions. Even US comedian Jack Black got in on the action and called the PM "a bit of a nutter".
