Coming to Horse Bazaar on 3 September
Ascendant electro-soul tunesmith Alice Ivy will precede her impending appearance at next month's BIGSOUND events in Brisbane as part of the line-up for Sensible Antixx's next night out at Melbourne hole-in-the-wall Horse Bazaar.
The show will be the stalwart promoters' third such event at the venue, this time dubbed Make It Work. Along with Ivy, the evening will also feature the talents of seven-piece ESESE, aka Eastern Sea Board Electric Soul, who will headline the gig (and feature among their ranks acclaimed rapper Hancoq, freshly back in the country from a stint in the US), as well as jazz-touched hip hop luminary Charlie Threads. Keeping the vibe alive throughout will be Sensible Antixx DJs.
Ivy hits the gig in the wake of excellent recent single Almost Here, featuring RaRa, and will be freshly back from a sojourn abroad when she takes the stage; she jets off for Singapore tomorrow to play her first-ever shows in Asia.
Sensible Antixx Vol. 3, Make It Work, will hit Horse Bazaar on Saturday 3 September.
Tickets are on sale now; see the Facebook event page for more information.
