Pop superstar, Grammy, Juno and Polaris Prize winning singer and songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen has today announced she will return to Australia in 2023 to perform East Coast tour dates.
She will visit down under for the first time since 2019, where she instantly sold out her shows. The tour this time around is in support of The So Nice Tour, following massive tour dates in North America, the UK and Europe.
Jepsen is one of the world's most acclaimed pop writers, from her breakout hit Call Me Maybe to her critically acclaimed E*MO*TION. She's now just released her new album The Loneliest Time an exploration of synth pop, packed to the brim with anthems, earworm choruses and addictive, dance worthy bass lines.
The tour will kick off at The Enmore Theatre on Tuesday the 7th of March before heading to Brisbane on Thursday the 9th of March and closing at The Forum in Melbourne on Monday the 13th of March.
Pre-sale will run for 24 hours beginning on the 27th of October at 11am local time HERE before going on sale to the General public on Monday the 31st of October at 11am local time.
Carly Rae Jepsen will also appear at Golden Plains festival. Held from 11, 12, and 13 March 2023 at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre, Golden Plains will be led by Bikini Kill, Four Tet, Soul II Soul, and Mdou Moctar all alongside Jepsen.
Also on the line-up are Australian icons and up-and-comers, from a surf rock band, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, to art-pop act Methyl Ethel, to the keytar-wielding Yolŋu Elder Andrew Gurruwiwi Band, punk rockers Stiff Richards, psychedelic country artist Freya Josephine Hollick, rising rap star Mulalo, the captivating E Fishpool, and the ex-Cheap Trick cover band Delivery. More artists will be announced.
