This year's awards ceremony has also been announced.

Some of WA’s best new tunes have been highlighted via WAM’s Song Of The Year nominees announcement, with an eclectic mix of tunes from the past year making the cut.

Ben Matthews, Camarano, Farraday’s Cage, Flewnt, Jamilla, Pat Chow and The Hunting Birds have all scored two nominations each, while Carla Geneve, Grace Barbé, Riley Pearce and more have also been nominated.

All acts nominated are in the running for a share of $45,000 worth of prizes, with the winners – determined by a panel of music industry experts - unveiled at new WA venue Freo.Social on June 26.

The awards ceremony will be hosted by Odette Mercy and will feature performances from Echo Adore, Flewnt, Pat Chow, Tara Tiba and Rhubarb Records DJs.

“Here at WAM HQ we’re excited to be shining a light on 100 tracks from West Australian songwriters and with so many incredible tracks featured in the nominations this year, Song of the Year continues to prove that the WA music scene is thriving!” WAM Song Of The Year Coordinator Claire Hodgson said.
