Finally Returning To Australia, Faithless Are Paying Homage To The Beloved Maxi Jazz While Looking To The Future

CANT SAY ft. Lurch & Chief (Live), Kolors & J Heasy

Comprised of 6 writers from varying creative backgrounds, LURCH & CHEIF have developed a dynamic sound of their own. Catch them at CANT SAY, August 16.

Comprised of six songwriters from varying creative backgrounds, LURCH & CHEIF have developed an intricate and dynamic sound of their own. A blend of styles ranging from 60s garage-surf and 90s influenced grunge to psychedelic jams and indie dance floor fillers, it is seamlessly tied together by the duelling lead boy/girl vocals of Hayden Somerville and Lili Hall.

Since playing their first show in May 2012, launching their debut EP “Paranoia” to a heaving warehouse of 300 people, Lurch & Chief havemaintained a high creative output. Immediately following their debut, “The Richmond Sessions” was a 4-track semi-acoustic “experiment” released for free online.

More recently the band have released two critically acclaimed stand-alone singles in “It’s Easy” and “I’ll Meet You On Planet Z”. Both tracks garnered the support of community radio and national youth broadcaster triple j, with the former earning the band a coveted spot on the 2012 Harvest Festival line-up via triple j Unearthed.

The Melbourne 6-piece have been earning a reputation as one of the cities must-see live bands through their own headline shows and having been afforded the opportunity to support top Australian and international artists such as HUNGARY KIDS OF HUNGARY and NADA SURF (USA), as well as landing a spot on the line-up for the 2013 Push Over Festival.

Supports from KOLORS, J HEASY and the rest of your favourite CANT SAY residents.
