Friday nights always seemed rather odd. It’s that weird transition between what feels like the working week, and what feels like the opportunity to enjoy yourself and have some time off for a change.
Melbourne’s CANT SAY is determined to celebrate all that is good about Friday’s, and give you the opportunity to kick those weekend pre-conceptions in the bum, and kick it off well.
This week, they’ve got CHIEFS, a producer out of Melbourne to bring his sound and expertise to CANT SAY.
About a month ago now, he released a bass laced EP. Titled ‘What U Do’, it utilises layers of smooth vocals, emphatic beats and a bass line to die for.
His production method is cool, calm and collected, and the product is a well-rounded sound that has seen him switch genres quite a bit. He used to perform under the guise of being the production side of hip-hop for artists like ALLDAY and 360.
He’s bringing his crazy blend of layers, sounds and textures that are so plentiful, it’s like a galaxy to your ears.
Also playing on the night will be all of your favourite CANT SAY residents to kick off your weekend.
