Caloundra Fest Adds Earth, Wind & Fire Experience, Ash Grunwald & Locals

A little disco is added to proceedings.

After two pretty enormous announcements already, the Caloundra Music Festival has thrown a couple more massive names onto the bill for the 2013 instalment of their event, including another international guest and an interstate crowd pleaser.

The Earth, Wind & Fire Experience isn't your regular tribute act; Al McKay, who appears in the band, was one of the very early members of this classic disco, funk and soul group and played a fairly big part in the establishment of their sound over the years.

With the release of a new record from the band who hold the name proper, we had anticipated the possibility of a return tour from that group – and we're not yet ruling it out – but if that doesn't happen then this will be a pretty decent substitute for the time being.

Also joining the Caloundra bill is Ash Grunwald, who continues to tour with Scott and Andy from The Living End, as well as locals such as Casey Barnes, Common Kings, The Perch Creek Family Jugband, The Lamplights, Mark Lowndes and Hayden Hack Infusion.

It's just a sniff over two months until the festival invades the seaside town of Caloundra, so grab your tickets as soon as possible. You can check out the first and second announcements here!
