After 15 long years between visits, US indie rockers CAKE will make their highly anticipated return to Australia in March 2027.

They’ll be hosting “An Evening with CAKE” shows, where the band will perform two full sets of classics from their inimitable catalogue. Fans can expect nights packed with favourites, such as Short Skirt/Long Jacket, The Distance, Never There, and more.

The tour begins at Perth’s Ice Cream Factory on Sunday, 14 March. It continues at Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Tuesday, 16 March, Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Thursday, 18 March, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Saturday, 20 March, and concludes at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Wednesday, 24 March.

Fans can sign up for pre-sale tickets here, which will be available from Wednesday, 8 July, at 9 am local time. The general sale opens on Friday, 10 July, at 9 am local time. More ticketing information can be found on the Destroy All Lines website.

Commenting on the band’s forthcoming return to Australia, CAKE’s Vincent DiFiore said, “Although Australia is a distant continent for us, our memories of its wonderful audiences remain clear. We are delighted to have the opportunity to be part of that vibrant music scene once again.”

CAKE return to Australia more than three decades after their formation. Their most recent album, Showroom of Compassion, was released in 2011 and debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. They’ve released little music since, but they have teased new music and regularly tour.

According to a press release, CAKE are currently working on their long-awaited ninth album, which is due for release in 2027. The record will include the already-released single, Billionaire in Space.
