Butch Vig Too Ill To Play On Garbage's Australian Tour Starting Next Week

Alt-rock legends Garbage are set to hit Australia next week for a massive east coast tour, but the band have announced today that drummer Butch Vig will not be making the trip over due to illness. 

"Unfortunately due to ongoing sinus problems all year Butch is unable to perform with Garbage during the Australian leg of their tour..." a statement posted to Facebook reads. 

A personal note added from Vig reads, "I'm very disappointed I’m going to miss the upcoming shows, but the doctors want me to err on the side of caution.

"Thanks to all our fans for understanding. I will be back! BV"

Vig will be replaced at the Australian shows by Eric Gardner.
