Here's a taste of 'After The Disco'

Broken Bells, the absolute dream-team of musician/producer Brian Joseph Burton (better known as Danger Mouse) and James Mercer from The Shins, have unleashed a pretty self-explanatory announcement and video this morning, unveiling the release of their second studio album early 2014.

Titled After The Disco, the follow-up is set to drop in January next year, the first full-length record since 2010's self-titled offering which brought the world tunes like The High Road, Vaporize and The Ghost Inside.

Check out the video with their characteristic sweet falsetto twang and appropriately alternative-disco feel.

First album Broken Bells garnered plenty of critical acclaim, earning them a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album in 2011, with an extended play, Meyrin Fields, teasing a full-length release before the announcement this morning.

Both constituents brag an acclaimed career in their own right, Burton forming the outfit Gnarls Barkley with Cee Lo Green and is the recipient of multiple Grammy Awards as a producer, while Mercer's band The Shins have an amazingly large following, selections from their four-record repertoire used in the film Garden State exposing the band to the world.
