Controller debuts at ten
Melbourne rock outfit British India have racked up their third top ten album this week with the debut of their new record Controller.
Debuting at ten in a particularly competitive week for releases, with Justin Timberlake's juggernaut (one), Passenger's surge (two) and Northlane's rabid fanbase (three), the album follows Avalanche and Controller into the ARIA Album Chart top ten.
Released in 2008, second album Thieves spent five weeks in the chart, peaking at five, while 2010's Avalanche spent three weeks and peaked at ten.
The band are currently peddling their latest single Summer Forgive Me, which has been added to high rotation on triple j and Triple M in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The band are hoping the single will give the album staying power following its release.
