The worldwide deal will see their second LP, 'Tyrant', made available for the global masses
Brisbane-bred brutality factory Aversions Crown have made giant strides towards global domination with the ink now drying on a new worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast Entertainment for the release of brand new release Tyrant.
“A Nuclear Blast is pretty much what happened to my mind when I found out the label was interested in Aversions Crown,” guitarist Chris Cougan said of the partnership, in a statement. “Nuclear Blast are the pinnacle of metal labels. We couldn’t be more stoked.”
It’s a particularly showy feather in the cap of this four-year-old band, who cut their teeth among the same fermenting ground as fellow furious Queenslanders Portal and The Amity Affliction. Of course, describing anything as “showy” when it comes to Aversions Crown should never be considered a negative thing, for this is a band where triple eight-string guitars are the norm.
Check out the video for recent single Hollow Planet, below, which was originally released all on its lonesome (i.e. it wasn’t tied to the record at the time) and managed to score nearly half a million views since it was posted in September last year.

Aversions Crown haven’t just made solid in-roads on the scene at home, however; they’ve also scorched their way across Europe and the UK alongside renowned contemporaries such as Thy Art Is Murder, The Acacia Strain, Oceano, All Shall Perish and Cattle Decapitation, and they’ve even found the time to take in a Warped Tour showing along the way.
Tyrant will be the band’s second full-length release, following 2011’s debut effort Servitude, with a pure-bred production lineage behind it from the likes of Thy Art Is Murder’s Andy Marsh and mix-man Mark Lewis (Whitechapel, Carnifex), and art courtesy of visionary Swede Pär Olofsson (a veteran collaborator of acts such as Psycroptic, Aborted, Abysmal Dawn and The Faceless).
