Brisbane To Welcome Back 'The Blurst Of Times' Festival

It promises to be perfectly cromulent once again

The noble spirit of Brisbane’s live music scene is about to be embiggened considerably, with the announcement today of the imminent return of The Blurst Of Times festival this October.

Having burst onto the scene last year as a crazy-well-received Easter-weekend event, The Blurst Of Times 2014, proudly presented by The Music, will grace the city on Saturday, October 18, boasting a line-up of 25 bands across three of the city’s premier live venues – The Brightside, The Brightside Carpark, and The Zoo.

The line-up for this year’s festival won’t be unveiled until August 11 – the same day you’ll be able to start grabbing your ticket haul – but given last year’s pedigree of performers, including the likes of many-membered cult icons Velociraptor and freshly crowned Splendour In The Grass royalty Violent Soho, as well as Bored Nothing, Scott & Charlene’s Wedding, Drunk Mums, Gung Ho and others, this year’s iteration is no less likely to be all kinds of stuffed full of worthy attractions.

Said Mitch Exton, of festival co-organisers (alongside Destroy All Lines) The Fans Group: “Ultimately, we've just tried to put together the festival that we ourselves would want to attend, and I reckon we've nailed it. If only we weren't so easily impressed.”
