Sooo many babes

In one year, Brisbabes have already hosted four super-successful, super-awesome nights showcasing the best in local female-fronted Brisbane talent. They're just turning one and have organised their fifth party of the year, led by even more inspiring ladies.

The Brisbabes we'll see this October include Zimbabwe-born, Brisbane-based hip hop musician Blaq Carrie, new wave punk trio Whalehousedark-pop duo Stevie and multi-instrumentalist Quintessential Doll, with her newest record, Beautiful Violence, in hand.

Chief Brisbabe (founder) Emma Jones, says, "I can’t believe it’s been one year since the first Brisbabes came out. This is now the fifth one, and I am so excited for what the next year will bring.

"Thank you to everyone who has supported us, the artists and The Foundry this year. I’m so amazed at the constantly growing female-fronted music scene, and am excited to say I can already see changes in the scene since I first started this!"
