Briggs Leads Backlash Against Mark Latham's Sad Attempt At Trolling Dr G Yunupingu Service

Swing and a serious miss, Latham.

Former Australian politician and all round dickhead Mark Latham has been hit with a wave of criticism after making some incredibly insensitive and tasteless comments about the state memorial service held for the late Dr G Yunupingu today

The service, covered by the majority of mainstream media this morning, was held in Darwin as an opportunity for family, friends, fans and fellow musicians to farewell the legendary Indigenous songwriter, who sadly passed away in July after a long illness.

ABC also streamed the service live on Facebook.

Latham's social media has since been inundated with condemnation after he tweeted, "I don't know a single person who had ever heard of Dr G Yunupingu Why is the ABC obsessed with farewelling this guy who passed away in July?"

Aussie rapper Briggs summed up Latham's thoughtless comments, tweeting back, "This grub, famous for losing an election and giving a firm handshake to another grub".

Former Channel [V] presenter James Mathison also slammed the former Labor leader, writing, "This is now getting sad to watch".
