The Songbook Of '60s California with The Beach Boys' Co-founder Brian Wilson

After previously announcing a run of shows around the country, The Beach Boys' co-founder Brian Wilson will now bring one of his final performance of Pet Sounds in its entirety to the Concert Hall stage at the Sydney Opera House for its 50th anniversary on Tuesday 29 March.

The masterpiece will be presented in two acts: Pet Sounds live, followed by his greatest hits. Old-time Beach Boys Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin are set to join Wilson's nine-piece band to resurrect the sun-drenched pop that has influenced The Beatles, David Bowie, Sufjan Stevens and Radiohead. Wilson has stated that this will be the last time he will perform the Pet Sounds set.

The performance comes off the heels of a momentous year for Wilson. He has announced his final European tour and released a critically acclaimed biopic Love & Mercy.
