ShockOne, Krafty Kuts, Dynamic MC, ETC! ETC!, Lady Waks and more
We caught at glimpse at what Breakfest 2014 was likely to offer at the end of last week with ShockOne named as the WA festival’s headliner, and now the rest of the line-up has dropped, boasting an impressive selections from some of the genre’s best.
For the 12th years in a row, the bass boutique masterpiece is set to consume Belvoir Amphitheatre on Friday 26 December and will feature a local talent Beach Party Stage, the return of Tiny Club and crowd-favourite beach volleyball.

Shockone has become one of bass music’s major talents since releasing his chart-topping single Polygon in 2009, and continues to produce remixes for the likes of Netsky, Chicane, Ayah Marar, The Aston Shuffle, and more. The music producer is now based predominantly overseas.
UK award-winning producer Krafty Kuts also joins the mix. He’s one of the most loved hip hop influenced breakbeat artists on the planet, and his enormous list of credits really speaks for itself, with a whole swag of singles as well as remixes for some of the best in the business. Australian audiences particularly love Krafty Kuts' work, so his return will be a very welcome one.
LA-based producer ETC!ETC! has been selling out shows all over Europe recently, gravitating his aural attention onto anything that moves the room. Having garnered a diverse array of highly-prestigious support in the past from EDM leaders such as Wolfgang Gartner, AC Slater, Congorock and more, he’ll be ready and rearing to show us everything he’s got.
The first lady of broken beat, Lady Waks, is heading back to Perth to make sure its people don't forget what it is she brings to the dance music arena, having played a number of festivals and shows here before, including Major Bass last year.
British drum & bass DJ Grooverider began his trade DJing at illegal raves and warehouse parties in the late ‘80s, and has since been a huge influence within the scene, playing roles in a number of radio stations and helping artists in the same field with his record label. Having been part of the scene for close to two decades, he’ll bring a wealth of tenure to the lineup. He’ll be joined by DJSS, who is currently journeying his way across the globe on a world tour.
Not being old enough to visit a club legally, Marten Horger kick-started his musical career at the age of 15 with a residency at Douala, one of south Germanys most famous underground venues. Since that tender age, Marten has spent years DJing alongside just about every major name in Germany, as well as the international giants whom passed through the country. Marten runs several monthly club nights in Germany and Austria including the infamous “Stamina Club”, which has been running for over 10 years.
