"The art is intuitive, more like just breathing. It’s just a part of me."
You might know Brandon Boyd as the driving force behind legendary rockers Incubus, but he’s also an acclaimed painter.
Aussie fans will be able to get up-close with his work next week during The Other Art Fair in Sydney, which will take over Barangaroo Reserve’s The Cutaway from March 18 – 21.
A collection of Boyd’s original artwork and limited edition prints will be available to view and purchase during the event with two previously unseen original artworks, Eyes Without A Face and Sarah With Red Spirals, set to feature.
“The music is intellectual. It tickles and frustrates me; it’s untouchable and fascinating. The art is intuitive, more like just breathing. It’s just a part of me,” he said.
While Boyd is unable to attend in person due to COVID travel restrictions, attendees can record a video asking a question, some of which Boyd will answer from LA the following week as part of the fair's 'Virtual Edition’.
