Influtential emo quartet Braid have signed with indie label Topshelf Records to release a new album next year.
The album will be the band's first full-length release of original material in 16 years, after 1998's seminal 'Frame and Canvas'. The four-piece reunited in 2011, releasing their 'Closer to Closed' EP as well as a split with Balance and Composure earlier this year.
"We’re fans of all of the bands on Topshelf’s roster and love the spirit with which Seth and Kevin run the label," says Braid frontman Bob Nanna regarding the signing. "It feels great to be a part of such an energetic and youthful movement – one that is happening right now."
