Red Deer Music & Arts Festival is back from hiatus this October
Things were a little too quiet at the Old Bella Vista Deer Farm last year following the news that boutique Queensland event Red Deer Music & Arts Festival would be taking a year-long hiatus, but that's officially set to change in 2015 after organisers confirmed the festival's October return earlier today.
Hitting Facebook (and YouTube) this morning with a short video trailer, a mood-setting picture and a simple message - "We're back!" - festival organisers unveiled that the event would be returning to its hallowed agricultural grounds in Brisbane's Mt Samson on Saturday, 3 October.
"We're back baby! It's been two long years since the herd gathered on the grassy hills of the Old Bella Vista Deer Farm, and we couldn't be more excited," organisers wrote in the synopsis of their video.

"To all those who believed in Red Deer and actively campaigned for our return, we thank you. We look forward to having you back this October long weekend for our biggest party yet."
Other than the fact that the festival is categorically "still boutique; still BYO", further details are scant at the moment. However, with acts such as The Grates, The Kite String Tangle, Chance Waters and Kingswood among the festival's alumni, it's a safe bet that organisers will have it all well in hand when it comes to picking out who should help Red Deer revive itself later this year.
