The chefs forage for the meal themselves
Harvest Cafe and The Three Blue Ducks restaurants have banded together to present a fundraising dinner for the upcoming Boomerang Festival as part of Bluesfest this year.
Held on Friday, 18 March at Coorabell Hall, the Ja Nghari dinner will aim to raise money for Boomerang while celebrating the rich tastes, culture and history of indigenous culture.
Ja Nghari, meaning 'food gathering' in Bundjalung, will offer canapes on arrival and a three-course meal foraged by the chefs, led by indigenous Wild Kitchen chef Clayton Donovan.
The dinner will also feature a conversation with Boomerang Festival director Rhoda Roberts, Tweed Shire Council Aboriginal, Community and Natural Resources Manager, Rob Appo, Darren Robertson and Bret Cameron, followed by a feature musical performance from East Journey (Arnhem Land).
