Boiler Room & Sugar Mountain Reveal 10th Anniversary Line-up

Last week, The Music reported on Boiler Room and Sugar Mountain’s plans to present a joint tenth-anniversary celebration. Today, the stacked line-up has arrived – get ready to party.

Its biggest collaboration yet, fifteen artists will perform at the January events (yep, two nights are scheduled) at the industrial waterfront of Seaworks Maritime Precinct in Williamstown, Melbourne, on Saturday, 18, and Sunday, 19 January.

Rising stars and returning artists will perform at the events, many showcasing their impact on Sugar Mountain’s story. For the first time in the collaborative event’s history, Boiler Room and Sugar Mountain will host a two-day takeover of completely different artist line-ups.

Day one will be focused on house, UKG, and jungle music, with organisers teasing “boundary-pushing” performances by Ben UFO, Colette b2b Stev Zar, Gabrielle Kwarteng, IN2STELLAR, PEACH, SHERELLE, and Sophie McAlister.

Meanwhile, day two is set to be something different, highlighting artists whose music sits more along house and disco, featuring sets from Bradley Zero b2b Moxie, CC:DISCO!, Chaos In The CBD, DJ Jnett, Gerd Janson, and Yarra.

The Boiler Room and Sugar Mountain partnership began in 2015, with both events launching separately in 2010. The partnership was described as the “first of its kind for the southern hemisphere,” with the festival becoming the place to connect with the already legendary Boiler Room on local shores.

The collaboration began as a stage takeover at Sugar Mountain. Its popularity and influence have since grown immensely, turning into a standalone collaborative festival that has created unforgettable moments in Australia’s underground electronic scene year after year.
