A new station is heading for the radio to stir up Australia's breakfast radio landscape.
Sir Bob Geldof will be in Melbourne next week to co-host the inaugural week of Australia’s newest radio station, Disrupt, alongside Libbi Gorr, who makes her return to radio after a previous stint at the ABC.
Disrupt Radio launches on Monday, 26 June 2023, with the pair delivering the first rounds of Enterprise Breakfast all next week.
As Media Week notes, the new radio station aims to stand out in the pack by prioritising conversations about business, entrepreneurship, innovation and aspiration, and more. What better way to kickstart a new platform than with entrepreneur, musician and activist Bob Geldof?
Disrupt will also host a hard-hitting roster of Australian presenters and internet personalities, including Jules Lund, Adam Ferrier, Moana Hope, Firas Massouh, George McEncroe, Nick Bracks, Sunil Badami, Siimon Reynolds, Zara and Troy Love, Megan Flamer and Alan Jones.
“We could not be more excited to have Sir Bob Geldof – a global disruptor, maverick thought leader and social entrepreneur – spearhead our launch for a week of live Breakfast radio,” Disrupt Radio’s founder and CEO Benjamin Roberts commented in a statement (via Radio Today). “His passion, influence and relentless desire to push boundaries perfectly represents our ethos.”
