Bluey To Release Orchestral Album In 2026

“This is our most ambitious album yet - something we’ve dreamed of making for a long time,” said Joff Bush.

The show featuring everyone’s favourite talking dog and his family, Bluey, is embarking on yet another ambitious venture: the release of an orchestral album.

Bluey: Up Here will feature orchestral versions of fan-favourite tracks from across the series, serving as the perfect introduction to classical music for kids. Favourites such as Sleepytime, Flat Pack, Mount Mumandad and The Sign are all represented.

Composer Joff Bush experienced the challenge alongside the Bluey music team, and for this album, that includes the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Camerata – Queensland's Chamber Orchestra, all conducted by Joseph Twist.

The new album will be released on Friday, 27 March, via BBC Studios’ record label Demon Music Group. Fans will be able to listen on streaming services, as well as purchase translucent blue vinyl and CDs. The theme of Bluey: Up Here is one of growing up. It’s set to explore what happens as kids become more independent and highlight moments in the show that truly showcase that.

“This is our most ambitious album yet - something we’ve dreamed of making for a long time,” said Joff Bush. “Orchestral music is so emotionally powerful, and introducing kids and families to it is a privilege I treasure. Hearing tracks like ‘Sleepytime’ and ‘The Sign’ in full orchestral glory had us reaching for tissues during mixing.”

Bluey has received over one billion streams across all platforms as of July 2025. Last year was a milestone year for the series, taking home the AACTA Award for Best Original Score in Television. It followed a successful 2024 that included Bluey: Rug Island, which debuted #1 on Billboard’s Kid Albums Chart and the Soundtracks Chart in the US. 2024 also saw Bluey winning a Screen Music Award, an ARIA Award, and a Queensland Music Award.
